Who We Are
Devotion • Fellowship • Service
Hyde Park Union Church is a multicultural and multiracial congregation where adults and children alike form a deeply committed community of Christians devoted to loving God and neighbor. Together we worship and study, advocate for justice and peace, and serve in God’s name. We are theologically diverse yet wholly committed to one another’s welfare and to living our faith in our city and our world.
Welcoming and Affirming
We are an open and affirming congregation. Our worship is open to all seekers on faith’s journey, and our membership is open without prejudice to all who embrace Christ.
Congregational Free Church
As a congregation in the Free Church tradition, we affirm the soul liberty of every person, the priesthood of all believers, and the freedom of the local church. We have no creeds, accept all forms of Christian baptism, and welcome the rich diversity of all God’s people.
Come as You Are
There is no “dress code” for our services. We come from diverse backgrounds and traditions, and this diversity enriches our fellowship and faith. We seek always to love and respect one another in the midst of differences in background and experience, even differences in opinion and conviction. We strive for a spiritual unity that binds us to one another in the midst of our diversity.
We invite you to join our community in learning and service, fellowship and hope, and in the expression of Christ’s gospel and peace. Join us for worship any Sunday morning at 10 am. Please let us know if you have any questions and would like to speak to a pastor.
