Developing Disciples

We have worship, education, and music programs for children of all ages, as well as a nursery that is available during worship every Sunday and during Second Hour upon request. Children are an integral part of our worship and congregational life. To be a disciple is to follow Jesus, and our goal is to teach discipleship through emphasis in four major areas:

Biblical Literacy:  Equipping our children to apply scripture to their lives and worlds in thoughtful and loving ways.

Christian Leadership:  Cultivating agents of change in our world through opportunities to serve and lead within our congregation and local community.

Art and Imagination:  Celebrating the wonder of God’s creation and exploring the depths of faith through artistic and creative expression.

Service:  Working alongside adult members of our congregation to share Christ’s love with our urban community through regular service opportunities.

Visitors are always Welcome. If you are new and have kids, please join us. Religious education for children (pre-K – 7th grade) occurs during Sunday Worship. Children begin worship with their families and go to Godly Play or GIFTS after the Children’s Sermon. Parents are always welcome to accompany their children to any of our classes, and we’re always looking for new volunteers.
